Information Following From the First Creditors' Meeting

It is great that lots of parents [and former MFA employees] appeared in the office of the United States Trustee this afternoon. The meeting took 2.5 hours and went well. We, the creditors (parents, the former staff of MFA) asked lots of good questions. If you want to know what happened at the meeting today, you can make a request for a copy of the audio CD from the US Trustee. Below is the list of procedings.

- You must provide 1 CD-R Disk and deliver (or mail) it to the office of the US Trustee
The Address is 725 S. Figueroa St., 26th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90017
- You need to provide the following information when you deliver the CD

- There is no charge for making copies of the CD’s. It will take 3 to 5 working days to process the request. You can pick up the CD’s when ready.

Meanwhile, there are few things I’d like to share with everyone.

1. During the meeting, parents indicated that we never received any meeting notices from the debtor. The US trustee said that creditors/parents should send their personal email addresses to Attorney Foroozandeh who will send you the next meeting schedule for the meeting of the Futura Education Inc. creditors. (That’s the debtor’s obligation.) Here is the email for attorney Foroozandeh.

By the way, please DO NOT send the questions you would like to ask the debtors. We should ask them at the next court meeting in order to get their instant reactions.

3. For creditors’ committee solicitation. Please fill out the form and fax it to 213-894-2603 by writing the following case number on the form if you’d like to be in the committee. The Trustee will select three representatives work with legal consul who provided from BK. Please be aware that we are unable to nominate the representatives. The better way for us is to hire our own attorney to do the diligent work.
