Just wanted to remind everyone that the meeting of creditors for Futura Education Inc will be held at 2:00pm on September 17th, 2009. Here is the address:

I highly encourage all parents, teachers and former staff to attend the meeting. As far as I know, the debtor will appear at the meeting and answer the questions about their assets and liabilities. We, as creditors can attend the meeting and are permitted to ask the debtor questions as well. The purpose in appearing at the meeting are to speak up and make the followings impression:
- We suspect that assets are concealed or have been transferred.
- We have all been defrauded by the owner of MFA.
- We were misled into paying tens of thousands of dollars in unreimbursed tuition

Everybody, You have to attend the court appearance.This might be the only chance to face the owners in court. They might just walk away with a smile on their faces, and with lots of cash that they took from us.

do any former teachers know what will happen when it is time to file for our taxes. I have been paid in full but most of it was in cash (with the taxes taken out). I assume we will not get our forms in the mail to file so...any suggestions on what to do?
ReplyDeleteYou need to report your earnings regardless of whether you have a receipt or not. The filing form has instructions for this type of income. It would probably be best to use the services of a tax professional, preferably not Nathan, to prepare your 2009 taxes. A professional will know how to legally report what you earned and how to handle withholding for which you have no records.
ReplyDeleteCAn I use "proof of Claim" regarding IRS taxes that futura did not paid from 2008 to till date. I have unemployement stmt that indicates that futura did not paid my taxes for above period.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have copy of your pay stubs or time cards. you can call EDD and tell them your wage is different than what you have eared from MFA or Futura.inc. You have to send them all of your copy of your documents.
ReplyDeleteWe have been doing all of "Former Employee 'To Do' Checklist" on the left side, so we have prove for our tax next year.
It might be helpful if you send your proof of claim to the court and Ed's attorny. (might be late but you never know)
Also do the IRS fraud form too and make a copy of all the forms you send.

ReplyDeleteIs the meeting still on? I received a notice of motion to convert the case to Chapter 7 on Tuesday. And on the notice it also indicated a hearing will be held on October 7, so it's my assumption that the meeting was rescheduled. Or maybe it's just a separate hearing... Can anyone confirm?

ReplyDeleteOne of laywer talked to attorney Foroozandeh and
he said "The Future Education creditors’ hearing is scheduled for September 17, 2009. The Montecito Fine Arts creditors’ hearing is still scheduled for September 21, 2009."
We should all go.
It is very important for ALL parents, students, faculty, staff, former faculty, former staff, former anybody, vendors of ALL of Ed's fake schools, fake programs, and fake institutes ie, ESL program show up and demonstrate a united force of victums of fraud, lies, decption and caculated fraud since they were having "Open House" the weekend before all of the cards fell.
ReplyDeleteI live out of state now. It is so difficult or even impossible to make it to the meeting. I will try my best to make it to the bankrupcy court date but I am not sure. Is there anything that people who live out of state can do other than filing forms?
